THE Lounge by Mother Tongue Journal

People find lounges to relax, chat, work, etc. But why not do those at home? Perhaps because we look for temporary escapes from home. The idea emerged when a friend and I both couldn’t return home for some time in 2024, so we went to the lounge in their building. We talked, brought wine and drank out of mugs. We went there so much that the lounge became THE Lounge, an inside joke, an icon, a shelter. Sometimes we need a change of scene. Also people do chat at lounges, so I think it’s fitting for the interview column. (There’s also a podcast, on Spotify!)

Shanghai Daily

I wrote and edited a few pieces for Shanghai Daily’s mental wellness column, “Easy Minds Talk.” My article for the arts column, “Arts and Culture,” was selected by Scôp (Shanghai Photography Art Center) and translated into Mandarin.
